I raise Grey calls that we show , and have some Whites coming in Sept.

Those are the same colors I'm raising. You are local, too, at least by Texas standards.

Where are you getting your Whites? I am cold contacting people all over the country trying to get on waiting lists, etc. for eggs, birds, whatever for the spring.
Where do ya'll show? I have one awesome little White hen that I plan to show this fall and next spring starting in Haynesville, LA. in November.

From a man Name Art in Jamestown NY
We show at Collage Station, La Grange, Beaumont. And some time Decator, Won Rev Champion Bantam Duck at collage Station This year with a Grey drake

I plan on showing in College Station in January.
I just got some Call eggs from a guy in NY-his first name is Tim.
I saw some beautiful little Calls in Beaumont in March, did ya'll have yours there? Actually, that's where the "Call bug" bit me was when I was looking at the other poultry and those noisy little things caught my attention.

ETA: Just looked at your site and noticed ya'll have Sumatras as well-I have some beautiful blacks(and hopefully) my blues should hatch in about 3 weeks.

thanks for any help

Does anyone in the Denton/Dallas area have hatching eggs for sale? One of my Barred Rock hens decided to go broody and I do not have any fertile eggs. I lost my Roo a few months ago so I am looking for a few standard/large size fertile chicken eggs local to the Denton/Dallas area. Breed is not too important, but do not want Leghorns or Silkes. She has been sitting on the nest for two days on some fake eggs and I would really like to let her hatch out a brood.

Hot. Very, very hot.

I've got family coming down from Illinois this upcoming week. When I went up to visit them first week of July, they were whining about having to wait until 7 pm to walk because of the heat. I quite believe they will be sprinting back home after taking their first step out of the car.

Can you believe the heat index was 120 two days ago?!

oh wow! it usually only ever gets in like the 80s or 90s here, although sometimes its really hot...

Hey guys,

Im wanting to start selling my surlpus at the local farmers market, are there any rules and regs I need to be aware of?

Check with whomever puts on the farmer's market for their rules and regulations. Each town is different....
