Texas

I have been looking around at the Nubians and they are beautiful. Though all I seem to be able to find are show goats and I am not really intending to show them. Does anyone have information on Nubians that aren't show quality for sale?
Yeah, I am really wanting to push getting the goats a little quicker because of all the weeds and sticker plants and overgrown areas. I figured at least for the first month or so I wouldn't have to buy feed. Lol. There is a lot of brush.
The stomach bug made rounds here about a month ago. It was awful, both of us needing the toilet at the same time! I did a lot of mopping...
This was actually sore through, exhaustion, coughing, bronchial congestion, etc. Good thing, too - because I handle that much better than a stomach bug.

As far as Nubians and show quality....my aunt breeds goats for show and she is always willing to sell her culls to people for lower prices so long as they aren't intending to breed them. So, you may be able to find a breeder willing to do the same here in Texas.

Everyone made it through one nite!

My yokie roo sounds like he has a hoarse voice...it has sounded the same for a while so its not new...just think its funny.

Also the guineas are starting to chirp and talk...2 syllables is a female, right?

yup - the "buck-wheat" is the female. The males can't make that sound.

So far, I only have two who are "talking"...both females...I know I'll have at least one male out of the eight, just waiting to see how many

How much for the cow? How much for the rabbits? sorry so short, dh hijacked the computer

Not sure on the heifer, but they generally sell their cattle at market price. So between $400-$600 usually.

Non show quality rabbits at my house run about $25-$35 for a doe/buck that is already producing. However, you can find them on CL as well.

I woul recommend finding a cow that's use to being hand milked, might make your life easier than training one.

Well i know atleast one is a female...too bad i cant tell them apart for the life of me! Lol! Witnessed a chicken wagging its tail today! Have never seem that, thought it was hilarious! All the little guys are venturing around the coup scratching away, only 1 has ventured outside...but they seem to be getting braver! Cant wait, will be my first chick raised bunch among the crew, hoping they turn into sweeties. The rest are all sweet but dot really care to be held or corralled so much

there is someone in IOLA selling red pyle cubalaya, Aracauna rumpless and tufted, and Melaysian serama, also Rampuri asil chicks! these are some crazy breeds...this is TexasMJA's neck of the woods...do you know them?
Never heard of them. Iola only has maybe 500 people in it, lol. There is a place on my road that I found out was advertising as a hatchery, but it is not. I am going to be nice and not comment.
