i used to show bantam cochins when i lived in louisiana...they seemed fine then. but we had LOTS of shade

I have a couple of English Orps and they are as fluffy as a cochin. Yes, they do suffer more in the heat than I'd like but given plenty of shade and especially a shallow tub of water in the shade to wade in, they do ok even in Houston.
