Trying to put a few excess rooster in freezer camp this morning. We are on rain break. This is the first time my son and I have processed chickens. Its not going perfectly but its getting done and its not a disaster. Even out silver pencil rock bantam roosters have enough meat to make it worthwhile to process but I'm just skinning them. Figured I would cook them like quail.

Dear mr coon

I sincerely hope you appreciate your last supper of 1/4 a bag of chick starter and my cutest little pullet egg. For it will be your last, I can guarantee that.

Sincerely,

****** off SBM!

Lol!
I picked up my LGD, yesterday, she's 9 weeks. The people had 7 more, if you really want to teach that coon a lesson! Lol!

She had a nice little chicken chase this morning, needless to say she enjoyed it a great deal more than the chickens! She's been with chickens, goats and other critters since the day she was born. She didn't want to eat the girls but really liked the running wild and crashing into the bushes sending them running in every direction! Guess that's gonna be lesson #1! We don't chase the chickens! Lol

Is this your first LGD? You can't just get a puppy that's a certain breed and expect them to guard right away. Dogs take about 2 years to mature, and it takes training to get them to the point where they are useful. Where did you get the dog? What kind is it?

I think my girls are finally starting to lay. Found what i think is another guinea egg but a different color than before, and a new whitsh egg, but bigger than my yokie's. im thinkin it might be my lt brahma's first egg!

Yes but not my first large breed dog. I don't "just expect"anything, I am going to work with her constantly and she already has an extraordinary disposition. She is from Aledo, and both parents are working LGD, on acreage guarding chickens and goats. Mother is a GP, dad is an Anatolian Shepard.
