Hi Carla! I'm on 80 acres between Brownwood and May. No chickens yet ( still have to get the old coop rebuilt) but am definately going to have some before this next year is out! I followthe board pretty close and have learned a ton in good stuff already ( wanna be prepared for when I take the plunge and bring the chickies home finally)

Yeah, I guess Ohio/Texas/New Guinea really doesn't make much sense. .... I'm one of those unfortunately unsettled people who won't stay in one place.

Born in Houston, Texas, and have lived in College Station for 10 years total. (4th generation born in Houston) So I say I'm from Texas.

Childhood in Papua New Guinea (near Australia), so culturally, I'm not American.

Ohio--Been living with my sister & b-i-l for 2 months = Ohio.

Within the US, I claim Texas as home. It's been 95F for almost 3 weeks here in Ohio. I think its even worse than Texas...because they don't even have AC here. Ack!
