Got some lt brahma chicks and black aussie chicks today! Man i need to stay away from that feed store!

Anyone in the dallas area have any three week to five week old chicks? I was given a lil one and she is too small to be with my lil flock. I sold off my flock aside from fleur, and four of my newer babies... got a call monday that fleur had jumped out of the yard, and had been killed by my dog. I was really broken up about it, so my dh went and got me a baby chick that was rescued from the shelter... but now it is all alone... Do you think it will be fine by itself till it is older?

I have 10 chicks that age right now, and I know of a bunch of people with chicks.

They really do better in groups.

I'm just surprised that an animal shelter around here had a baby chick! I've never seen them, and we have so few good shelters.

My husbands father works at the animal shelter, so he can get first dibs when birds go through haha

I'm just east of Dallas and I have 6 ranging from 5-8 weeks, and I may be culling one that may be a Roo. Do you have pics of it or know what breed and sex?

I have Black and Blue Copper Marans and Lavender Ameraucanas. Both are pure breeds if that's what you're interested in.
