Texas

Had a fabulous time meeting Lisa and her husband this morning! Always nice to meet fellow BYC'ers! And got an incubator from her as well! I have it hooked up to make sure its holding a steady temp.

So quick question to you hatchers, 99.5 degrees with fan, right? And also dry incubating works well in this area right? And just boost the humidity at lockdown to 60%?

Right
Right
Right.

I hope everyone is having a safe and fun Independence Day. I've got the grill fired up and watermelon on ice.

Where are you located, slick? Beyween you and little wing we might have a texas line started!

Farmersville is located half way (17 miles) between McKinney and Greenville on Hwy. 380.

Slick are you selling your Marans, and what level are the eggs?

I will be when I decide which three to keep. Right now the foundation girls start out at 4's to 5's when they first start their laying cycle. I had a Blue Copper rooster shipped to me from a lady that wins lots of egg shows for my dark egg project. These chicks are some of the first to hatch of my project, so I don't know just yet. I don't know if I said it earlier, but I'm breeding for dark eggs and not to SOP.

Hope everyone is having a great 4th!
