So Tuesday is our lazy day. I spend the day playing with my son and working around the house. I don't bother getting dressed, so when I went out to gather eggs just now, I went out in my pj pants and my crocs.

I walked in the run, and my favorite lil SS hen came running up like always. Gave her loves and pets. Then she proceeded to peck at the holes in my crocs. Also the norm lol. Its pretty muddy in the run, so I was holding up my pj pants, so they didn't drag in the mud. Hey, I'm short. Don't judge.

When out of no where Speck pecked the back of leg! Hit me square on a mosquito bite! Caught me so off guard. I was laughing to myself, then she did it again!!! Lil brat!

TRYING to attach the brooder to the "play pen" so my babies have some extra room. Is there anything I need to know about ramps? especially with like 4-5 week old chicks? Do they climb it ok? Any special degree or sides or.. well.. anything I need to know?

Oh.. the playpen is ground level and the brooder is a 2 feet up.. think I can make it work?

I used a piece of plywood, stuck some 1x2s on it, and called it a day. They started climbing it at about 10? Or so weeks I guess. My coop sits 2 ft off the ground. My ramps probably 3ft long. Probably sits at about 45degrees.

Now that they are adults they don't even use it.
