Texas

i have some quail eggs in there now and am letting them go dry. they are due to hatch the frist weekend in august. i will see how that goes and refigure from there.
I have never hatched quail, but I do not think dry is good for them. Small eggs aircells evaporate faster than say an XL chicken egg.

well we will see. where they are, they are maintaining a 30% humidity. the guy that sent them down to me said thats how he hatches his and he lives in KY where the humidty is less than where i am. and they were free eggs. but if this hatch isnt as productive as id like i will definately be trying again with higher humidity.

:( We are having a very bad week. We just lost 6 chickens to a predator. 2 more are badly injured, one I'm sure I will have to put down (my husband thinks she will make it so we are waiting.)

I'm devastated.
