We are pretty much on our own for animal control out here. Only animal control that will cover out here is in McKinney. Getting them to come out can be a hassle sometimes.

I haven't seen any raccoons. I think what got mine were loose dogs down the street.

May have, decided to do a couple more hatches to try and get myself more splash Ameraucana. Did I tell you I had a sick older dog in an e-mail early this morning? I lost my oldest one (17 yrs 19 days) a week ago this last Friday. Then this last Friday 1 of my 14 yr old dogs had something like a stroke... So I am playing catch up all the way around...

Thanks Yes it's tough. I have 1 that is 7 1/2 yrs and the rest are 10 - 15 yrs now... They are my only kids

Im in Houston. They are six or seven weeks. They are Black Ameraucana X Blue Copper Marans and have pea combs.

I still might be interested in some babies at some point. Maybe once we get our coop in the fenced yard and the door fixed.

Thanks for the responses and the link y'all! Yeah there's a pit behind me that's just in one of those flimsy 8x10 runs, and I have a feeling it was him, but I can't prove it so there isn't much I can do. If I see him out and about though, he's gonna be on his way to doggy jail! I have a three yr old that plays freely in my backyard, I would hate for him to come back for a second course with her out there!
