Wazine is the recommended wormer. Some people never worm. Some worm when there is a problem. Some worm with the seasons.

I wormed a couple of times wiith Wazine, just as a precaution. The breeder was horrified that I hadn't already wormed them when I did (at something like two or three months of age). The clincher for my decision to worm was when the feed store told a story about a fully formed worm inside an egg from one of the organic people's eggs. That got my attention!

I have horses (with trainers so I don't make the worming decisions) and I know that horses are put on a worming schedule and the drugs/chemicals used are switched around because the worms are developing immunity to them. It's a big problem with horses. Is it a problem with chickens?

Should I worm with something other than Wazine?

What is the withdrawal period for eggs? The label says 14 days for prior to slaughter but doesn't mention for eggs. Should I use the same withdrawal time?

Thanks.

Wazine kills only roundworms. No other types. It is the only wormer labeled for chickens though. We use all the other wormers "off label." Usually Wazine is good to give before using another wormer (2 weeks later) if the flock hasn't been wormed in a long time.

Ivomec or Ivermectin will get some types of worms but not all. It's not really a very good wormer. I've given it to mine and had them poop out a whole load of wiggly, very much alive worms a week later. Valbazen is the best.

This post https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?pid=7474271#p7474271 gives the dosage of Valbazen.
