Been trying to think of a good name for my new place. Since my last name is Sharpe, I was thinking Sharpe Acres. Then I looked at all the brush that still needs clearing and cracked up. Sharp my foot! hehehe

Lost the key to the tractor yesterday and nearly went nuts trying to find it. Gave up and later, when I let the girls out for their hour of free range time, they found it! So I guess instead of taking my new kayak out on the river today I'll be messing around on the tractor. Or maybe not. The river does call to me and the kayak looks lonely...

Well he wont go to waste, I lost my Cuckoo boy while we were in Dallas, so I could use him here. 2 of my cuckoo hens spent the better part of the summer sitting guinea eggs for me. They might enjoy having their own roo again. All of the Marans hen have been in with Hansom, who is going to move into the OE pen to make room for the 2 pretty boys you brought me.
Then we can make you some more. See it all works out. ;•)

I have an ill chicken!!! She was standing still this morning during treat time with her eyes closed getting run over by the others in the run. i went a pulled her out, she wasnt making any noise whatsoever. Brought her inside, gave her some crumbles and electorlyte water. She was eating and drinking so that relieved me. Now she is siting but has her butt up off the ground. Could she be egg bound? I looked at her but am really not sure what im looking for...
