We got 4 inches in College Station the other night, and we're still drying out. But according to our newspaper the official amount of rain was barely over an inch. It's funny how spotty it can be.

Yeah it's weird how it does get spotty. It pretty much just went around us Saturday afternoon - the dogs got wet but that was about it even we were supposed to get a ton.

I'm planning to go to the state fair this coming weekend. And heard there was livestock there. Is the livestock only for showing? Or could we buy them?

I just harvested 7 perfect asparagus spears from our asparagus jungle. We thought it had given up the ghost with the summer drought. It's amazing how quickly plants respond to a good rain.
