Oh my GAWD I would KILL for that but I don't have my coop ready or I would SO be there. I LOVE the lavender color!

so happy to find Nederland, Woodville, Lumberton folks - I'm in Bridge City. I've been silently cruising the site for awhile. Actually waiting for hubby to pitch in and get me going with my new interest. We bought 15 acres on cow byou, plenty of room and even a building I could have used. No longer usable. Two of the bulls got into a shoving contest right next to the building an knocked a wall in. I am a newbie in the sense I can not seem to get started. I've looked at a zillion coops & runs. Breeds & care taking. Sickness & diseases (that almost made be quite before I began). I am determined if nothing else. It is time for plan B, I do believe. I'm going shopping for a building this weekend. I don't see any reason why one couldn't be used as a coop. Half for the chickens and half for me and storage. Yep it's time to make a move. After all there's just so much sight seeing one can do. Wish me luck,
hubby wont be happy when I have one delivered. LOL

Hi there!! I know exactly where-abouts you are. Been swimming/fishing on Cow Bayou many a time.

I don't see why one of those sheds/buildings you see pre-built on those places by the road (you know the ones I mean) wouldn't work as an excellent large coop. I wish we had one in out back yard, we need the storage.

There is a place on Twin City Highway coming into Nederland from beaumont that has a lot of those buildings prebuilt and ready to put on someone's property. All sizes. No idea about cost though.

I bought the plans for a small 4-5 chicken mobil coop from mobilecoops.com, it's located in Bernett TX. The plans look good I just have to get someone to build the dang thing.

Thanks merriweather. It's nice talking with you. See you soon.

PS: Tammy, would you show me how to make pandan curry chicken :)

I'm not sure if I have those skills! But, putting it in a curry chicken sounds good. :) I want to try the pandan in a dessert.

Maybe I can get the husband to drive to the north Lamar store this weekend. It's like a wonderland of exotic foods!

I thought you're in Austin for seminar till Fri. So why don't stop by after class, enjoy your exotic dinner ... then bring home some leftover for husby . "and they live happily ever after. The End."
