Texas

When I got home today one of my bunnies had gotten out of his pen, has happened before, but he always stayed in my backyard. This time he had gotten out. Just not sure how. I made sure all sundry holes were fixed. I'm sad. It's going to be so cold

I hope he finds his way back to you soon!

Good Morning Fellow Texans!

Jajeanpierre, you are up early!

40 degrees here and my Dh is headed to work! :( We didn't get the ice they called for. Those of you in the northern part of the state, I hope all is well with you!

Sitting here in katy, very thankful for the extra day off! My bunny is not home. I'll put up some signs after the rain passes

Do you live in a neighborhood or out in the country? If a neighborhood, he may be having trouble finding a way back in your yard or perhaps he is waiting for the rain to pass. Good luck!

Yup. Trouble has to go. And I don't think she is best suited to be in a small coop... she pecked a hole in one of my other chickens necks. If anyone wants her for a free range flock please let me know. granthamkk. I am not sure you would want to add her to your flock after this since you keep your two girls in a coop and run durng the day, it is still up to you though if you want her, i just wanted to give you a heads up. She is free to a good home.

It was 21* when I woke up. It's made it up to 22* now. Cloudy and cold. At least the wind died down. The house isn't so drafty.

A hole? Will the chicken be alright? Hope you find a better home for her.

Hope everyone has a good day today. Keep warm!

I am so ready for spring! Low is 15* tonight. It isn't supposed to be like this in Texas! I left Minnesota to get away from this kind of weather.

We are in a neighborhood with houses on either side and a bayou in the back. He's a good sized rabbit and I looked carefully yesterday around the yard and he'd have to really swish himself through the only hole I found in the fence. I don't know.

I have a set up for my waterlilly. It has goldfish. I drain water off the bottom and water plants with it. I think I am going to have to move it to a sunnier location for my waterlilly. I will bury half of it so it will stay cooler in the Summer for the fish. I thought I had lost all 7 goldfish in Aug. They were about 5 inches long and they came floating to the top. Then I realized they had spawned and I now have 15. I figure that the water I drain from the bottom has some nice fertilizer in it.

Hi greetings from San Antonio. I have a pond outside with goldfish in it and they have really done well despite the hot summers and cold blasts we get. So, I must say I am impressed with their hardiness. But I have a question for you...I have tried to set up water plants in my pond and would love to have water lillies, but the gold fish devour the plants...do you have the same problem? How are you able to keep your water lillies from being eaten by the gold fish?

Feed them more? My fish never eat my water lilies. I suspect they eat some of the algae. Too many fish and/or not enough food would be my initial thought. I have just regular gold fish and some sort of small dark fish the previous owner called "mosquito fish."
