I don't know how I could help and my plate is pretty full with family responsibilities. Never know though, there might be someway I can help. What kind of help are you looking for?

I think that is a most wonderful Idea!!

I write to soldiers - every week - and have been for several years now.

I hooked up with an organization called Adopt a Platoon. It has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I am currently writing a young man in the Navy and lady in the Army. I will continue to do this as long as there is a need.

I think this member has a great idea. My family is comprised of vets from many wars. I hold them in highest regards for their sacrifice. As stated, raising these critters is quite therapeutic. I work with a fella that was blown up and has a plate in his head. Dang miracle he's alive. Pondering seeing if I can help by donating some chicks/equipment to some of those folks. Bear in mind, I do mechanical and fabrication for a living. I can build a coop for $0 if I have enough time. If it would help some of these guys and gals, I'm in.

Thanks! I'm ok. I'll miss him when I go out, but I won't lay awake at night listening to it rain and wondering if cupcake is sitting in the rain or in the coop. I made a good decision.
