Texas

I'm just trying to plan ahead cause it's gonna be hot before we know it. i want to do all i can to keep my flock cool and healthy through the heat. My pen is about half shaded but will get alot of sun later in the afternoon, Have a large mulberry limb that I was gonna cut off last year because it shaded my garden...glad i didn't now, it will provide alot of shade for my chickens. I'm hoping the coop and barn will shade them some in the afternoon.
I love the screen shade kennel top thingy we bought last year. It was really pricey but since we were using a 10x10 kennel for the run it was the quickest and easiest solution. We now have 2 more 10x10 kennels and I need to find a more pocket friendly version...or just break down and buy more...

I tried to find a link to the one we bought but I saw this and got distracted...how have I not seen this before?! So cute! I want it for the ducks!!!

Boy I sure am tired tonight. the one night I could go to bed early and sleep and can't. hubby is laying down music trax for a new song his church group is working on and I'm making chicken spaghetti to feed 50 people for a church program tomorrow, so I gotta be up for a while yet. Yawn!.

Someone posted a link on here for shade cloth awhile ago and I can't find it. Can you please post the link again?

If I remember right it was better quality and less expensive than the stuff at Lowe's.

Even if its not the link, its a good one! I love that you can order custom sizes. It does say $20 will be added to orders less than $50 and a 10x10 black 90% is $55.17, so I need to play with numbers/sizes to get it to $60, change up the materials or buy more than one...

I live about 15 minutes from the stadium. Was a bit concerned when the street we live off of popped up on the map right in the path of the storm. Thankfully, the worst of it just missed us.
