I added home eggs too to the last shipped eggs and none made it. I didn't think they were 'shrink wrapped' but the more I think about it, the more I think they might have been. The humidity was up for hatching though.I had a bad hatch with only 1 out of 10 hatching. They were shipped eggs. The one that hatched was in a carton.
I have a brinsea mini advance and won't do a dry hatch in it again. When I do a dry hatch, I find that the eggs end up getting shrink wrapped. I had to help 2-3 in my most recent hatch because of the membranes drying onto the chicks. You might consider that your eggs were shrink wrapped rather than it being a shipped versus non-shipped issue.
I have shipped and home eggs again. I should have stuck with just home eggs until I had a successful hatch but I ordered them when I thought the hatch was going well.
ETA:
I added water to this new hatch. I'm going to try to keep it around 50-60%, per the instructions that came with the incubator. I looked up the humidity here and it says 10% today. The incubator was reading 30% before I added water.
