She's not going to wonder...we know...we know...sometimes we don't want to know what we know so we don't let you know that we know but always know, we know.

Now that's scary

Um...should I be worried that my Red Sex-Link's tail feathers appear to be missing. She has a few, but not the full tail she had earlier today/yesterday. Is this part of molting, or could she be prepping to lay (not sure she's old enough, though)?

How old is she?

If she's not old enough to lay, I don't think she would be molting yet. Could be a little drama going on in the coop for pecking order or something tried grabbing her through the fence. We had a hen lose most of her tail feathers from the neighbors dog last summer. Luckily it was a little dog, which is how it got into the yard to begin with.

Not sure right now, my wife and I are talking about it. I am trying to wait till after Sunday, Montgomery County Trade Days, I am going, but not to just look. At this moment I only have room for 4 more birds and no time to add on to my coops.
I am going too and want 2-3 more chickens. I was going to wait till after Sunday as well.
