How old is she?

If she's not old enough to lay, I don't think she would be molting yet. Could be a little drama going on in the coop for pecking order or something tried grabbing her through the fence. We had a hen lose most of her tail feathers from the neighbors dog last summer. Luckily it was a little dog, which is how it got into the yard to begin with.

I don't believe it was a predator...she is in an open run (surrounded by 8ft wood fence) with 9 other birds. Could be pecking order bullying, although everyone seems to get along (at least when I'm around). She might be old enough...I don't know how old she is (we're their second owners)...it's just that I only have one layer out of 9 females. I simply don't know.
