I so happen to work for Odessa Pumps. Granted, it is the Amarillo branch, but I could see when someone is going down there. Might entertain the idea of some troublemakers. I bet they would get the picture with my forty chickens, twenty quail, etc. As a plus, we are putting in a new pond. Let me know what you think. Cannot promise a date at this point though.

If you want to send me a PM and then let me know if you head this way if I still have them they will be free to go your way. I think if they had a full time water source for them to hang out in they would be less destructive. We might be able to figure out a good set up for 2 but 4 is to many.

Our ducks are eating holes in the ground.  Its horrible.  I will try to get a picture tomorrow.  They make a huge mess with their water and like to drink/play in the puddles when we're cleaning up the run.  It looks like I'm going to have to use the tiller again to smooth it all out.  Its ridiculous.  I told the kids we could keep 2 of the 4 but one of their favorites is the main culprit!  I've had the 2 listed on Craigslist since before Easter but haven't had anyone seriously ask about them.  They've got to go, they are causing to much work.  I wish we didn't live in the middle of no where, a very populated middle of no where, and it was close enough to meet someone to give them to!  My husband wants to process the 2 we aren't keeping but they are nothing but feathers and fluff right now.  Oh, and not friendly at all.  They run from us anytime we get near them but we've handled them even more than the chickens!
I will be be putting together a duck coop very soon. Probably work on it Friday. Ducks are kind of a pain when they are in with the chickens. I have 3 Pekins 2 mallards and 1 that I'm not sure what to call. It's solid black. I looked it up but forgot the name. Anyway... I'm not really interested in culling ducks so if you want to meet me in Mertzon I would be willing to add them to mine if you want to give them away. I'm buying guineas this tomorrow from Grogans and my husband said I've spent all I am allowe to spend on birds outside of feed otherwise I would pay for them. Lol Let me know. Either way is fine. You may have somthing else lined up already. And it does not matter how much you handle ducks. They are going to run away and flap and quack constantly. That's just ducks.

I go to bed and leave you all alone when I get up this morning there is 114 post!! Ken doing some kind of chicken dance , women painting chicken butts with food coloring and David running away from a fight with a woman. What has happen to the forum? Or the world ?

What do you expect? We are a bunch of looney tunes on here, and proud of it!
And just wait, I will be painting duck butts if I start getting eggs after bringing them home. I will post pics of the eggs to show how they look.

See y'all later. Getting the kids ready for school, feeding the chickens, geese, and dogs, and getting ready for our road trip.

P.S. Belott know he can't win!

Lol, I don't think your the only one either!

Anyway, I too must go. I gotta get up early and start driving to pick up my new duckies!

I am NOT looking forward to 2 hour drive there and another 2 hours back. And I don't think the ducks will appreciate it any more than I will. I only have 2 medium dog crates, I think TieDyeMommy said she has some cardboard boxes. But it will still be a very long and uncomfortable ride for them.
Have a safe trip. Sorry 'bout the drive...it'll be worth it, I'm sure. See ya soon!

Make sure to post pictures of your new duckies @Starfire669 !!!!

She is picking up the ducks from my house. Here are the pictures I have of them, but I'm sure @Starfire669 will post pics when things settle down from their drive home. She should be here within the hour.

Anyone have any experience cat breaking a dog? Just inherited a dog who has mega prey drive and the cats and horses are what he wants to eat.. I think my Mustang taught him not to chase after she plowed him down last night during feeding....

However, he gets more and more exicited every time he sees them.
