I've decided I want more chickens for Mother's Day...

Who needs another purse or wine refrigerator...Oh wait, I want those too...I have 5 kids, so I should get five gifts right?! That doesn't limit me to 3 chickens though, its like the express lane, if you have 25 of 1 item, its just 1 right? So now I still have room for 2 more gifts! Plus the husband should get me something just to be on the safe side...that's 3 more. Wait, my family is my gift, and I love them all dearly and I would honestly be happy with lots of hugs and kisses (plus, what are the odds that they would pick out the right purse/wine fridge/chickens/and yet to be determined gifts).

I still want more chickens and I am sooooo going to use Mother's Day as the reason they can't say no!

Anyone else have any good 'excuses' to share for when I want more, again?

I read about a lady who got a Chocolate Orp for Valentines...Because it was Valentines and technically chocolate was in the name. Chocolate and Valentine's go together! lol
I'm using that next year.
I'm not in the market for more chicks yet...but come next spring....

Lol, any birthday or major holiday works. Also can pull the these cute guys need a home card. But the kids would love this one as a pet card. Or the I cook your meals card. Lol j/k. Just butter the hubby up anytime you want a chicken. A little make up, a sexy outfit, dinner, and dancing. Then you get your chickens...

I have a weekend gig so I can pay for them myself, but he helps out with them so I "let" him approve

You can always say the current ones are lonely/bored & need some companions.

It was still a death sentence for him, he would have no idea how to survive. Something would have had a nice duck meal. It's the same as dropping off dogs and cats, it's a death sentence and people need to realize that. It's kinder to euthanize than dump.

Sorry, I know I sound harsh. But I have seen pets hit by cars, shot, attacked by other strays, die from starvation, or just cry because they want their family back. It's heartbreaking and they don't deserve it.

Not harsh at all. I've taken in stray animals my whole life (though I've never had quite the menagerie you do

)...I would never abandon an animal.

I only hope Howard was never abused & that his previous, previous owners just didn't know what to do with him.
