Well. My sweet neighbors just turned bad... The elderly neighbors next door called the sheriffs office to complain that a tree fell on their property from our side. Its raining... I'm sorry we didn't run right out there and chop it up? They also said our guineas were loud.... Yes. Yes they are. During the day when their son runs a saw and blasts music all day. I'm confused as to what they're really mad at.

Strange things people complain about.

Maybe they are starting to show signs of Alzheimer's....Did the tree damage their property?

Nope. Took out about twenty feet of MY fence, and landed on MY plum trees. Just barely crossed property lines.

Sheriff was entertained. Apparently my new neighbors like calling stuff in.

I need to figure out how to get them on our side. They don't like eggs, we've tried that. I don't want bad blood we just bought the place. Lived here a year in February.

I believe it's time to "counter complain" about their son disturbing the peace with his saw and music.... stressing out your guineas, making them louder. It won't do much good, but at least they need to know that being a good neighbor is a two way proposition. (I wouldn't suggest this if they didn't call the police, instead of first trying to work with you) Maybe you should talk with the son to see if he could be a go-between.... Maybe the elderly couple didn't call the police, maybe the son did. Good Luck. Crazy neighbors can be very upsetting.

I am fortunate that the only people around me are old school backwoods folk. There are a few prissy old ladies, but they are overwhelmed by the practical woods women.

Well. They're not gonna be happy with us now, especially. We just got permission to move their grey water drainage OUT of our pasture and back onto their side of the fence as its a hazard to our horses.

Raccoons have sharp teeth and adept hands. My wife decided to keep containers of chicken feed and cat food in plastic containers on the porch to make it easier. There was a lot of racket outside my mud at 0400 in the morning. I turned out the inside light, and lit them up. 6-7 Raccoons. The larger one hissed, put was drowned out by 10mm bullets after as many scurrying targets as possible.
