Hey, I'm near Waco. I have 13 chickens. I think 3 are roosters the rest pullets and 3 guineas and no idea on the sex of those little birds! I'm new to this all together and that's what my son wanted so my husband got them!!

Hi, all! I am new here, and will be new to chickens as well. I lived in Weatherford in a neighborhood that didn't allow chickens, although i have always wanted them. We moved to Georgetown about a year and a half ago, and it has taken me this long to talk the hubby into chickens. I am currently trying to decide whether i want to purchae a pre-made coop, hire someone to build one, or attempt it in my own. DH is not at all interested in construction, and I am not completely sure i am capable. We went on the Funky Coop Tour recently and had a blast. I hope to have some chickens (preferably not baby chicks) and a coop soon!

Welcome! I would personally recommend building your own or have one built. The prefab oones are often not very sturdy, secure or built to last. Good luck!

I have 2, 3 week old most likely roos looking for new homes. Both are almost fully feathered. One is buff orphington and the other is ee, possibly ee that would carry olive egg gene. Free! Located in Conroe, TX

I wouldn't mind a Buff rooster, I just have to get another pen built for the little buff chicks I have almost feathered out. If he doesn't disappear in a couple of weeks, let me known.

I was considering a Buff eventually, because my son has two buff chicks.

I have two Buff hens. They lay almost every day, small to med eggs. We just want to go with some different breeds and don't need him breeding My hens.

I would say the standard 50%. However, the comb is looking a little pink to me. Difficult to tell at this age.
