Good lookin' birds. What kind of digs do you have for them. In other words, "Show Me Your Coop".

We found a kitten last week. This week she's playful and very in your face. We named her Frankie, she's going to the vet tomorrow to get a check up. I still don't get how people can just toss littles. She's just now maybe five weeks old.

Glad that your recovery is progressing well. I enlisted in the Army to become a mechanic, then worked as a fleet mechanic after I served my active duty time and changed jobs in the reserves. Have not been turning wrenches for a living for years now, miss it but I know I no longer have the muscle mass to do most of what is required.

Topiramate kind of worked for controlling my migraines, but I could not take more than the starter dose. Anything over 25mg and my hands would tingle and feet went numb. Currently using a device called alpha-stim, similar to a TENS. At least with it's use I am back to the point I was a little over a year ago, they started to get really bad and more frequent then. So I am back to the level of functionality I had before they started to become worse.

It would be interesting to learn different methods to butcher, so if not this time around possibly in the future. Am I correct in guessing that you use the milk carton in place of a killing cone? Right now we are bogged down with trying to get the site prepped and coop built, along with other obligations. Plus the weather not cooperating to be able to get much done outside. Another storm is rolling in right now so I am going to get off the computer.

For the tingling, I take potassium. It fixes that side effect completely. It just took a bit to figure out how much I needed to take to get rid of the tingly numbness.

And yes the milk jug is in place of a killing cone. To me it's easier to use because it's cheaper and you can always recycle one that's been used too much. I've only ever had trouble with on chicken that had a really big head. Then I just cut the top off so the hole would be a little bit bigger.

And dang that weather! My corn has been all blown over, a lot of my smaller plants either drowned or were just beaten to death with the hail. And more storms on the way! Yucky.

I went through that as well, a good three years ago. Ask your doctor about sprionalactone. I am probably butchering the spelling. What it does is keep the potassium in your body so you don't urinate it out. I almost died before I found the simple solution Potassium makes your muscles work, too little and all your muscles stop working, including your ticker. It is a simple tiny pill, and doesn't tear up your stomach like the potassium pills do.

Welcome from Round Rock. What a cool flock! If you think chickens grow fast, try ducks, lol. I'm super jealous of your maran.
