Do any of you name your roosters?
The two Chocolate Orpington Roosters: Charlie and Lawrence
The remaining Black Copper Marans:  Chauncy, Jaque, and Henri
The remaining Americanas: Elvis, and Snow

The two Roosters in the table egg coop:  Lucky and his son formerly known as Eagle and now known as  Easter-Dork.

Yup, I have Booster ( rir), Handsome (rosecomb bantam), Mucho Macho (Cornish game), Wilson (silver birchen cochin bantam), Dumba$$ (Cornish game back up in case something happens to mucho), Rocky (partridge cochin bantam), Eli (wellsummer), Pretty Boy (cream legbar), Friar Tuck(sumatra/ Easter egger), and last but not least The King (buff orpington who thinks he's Elvis)

My problem is names for ask the girls. King has Golde (buff orpington), Matilda, (no clue on her breed), a brown hen that might be a welsummer or light brown leghorn, and possibly a cream legbar. Eli, Friar Tuck, and Pretty Boy share 7 Easter eggers. Friar Rick and pretty boy were raised together and say far are doing fine. Eli runs the coop. Wilson, Rocky, and Dumba$$ share 5 partridge cochins, 4 birchen cochins and one caramel colored cochin. Mucho has seven Cornish hens. Handsome has one risecomb bantam and two mystery bantams. Booster has three girls. The Easter egger girls ask have names. Who, Twix, Caramel, Marshmellow, Snowflake, Raven, and Noir. No one else has names.

Well, hopefully it will keep those doe moving. I saw some really good shooters, just west of the lease plot area I was on. Sat there all day and saw nothing, until I drove out about noon. Then right across the lease road.

I took my son, and he got deer fever bad. "Daddy, get your gun. Shoot them!"

No, son, we can't shoot them from the vehicle, we can't shoot them off our section of the lease. But, yes, it is both exciting and disappointing.

They are moving East of Austin. Saw two that got hit by cars just this morning

A friend of mine got a really nice buck in Cedar Creek.

Thanks for the WELCOME! FireAnt Farm and StelleKitten, gee...i remembered i also have Idaho and Kansas ringnecks. Don't know how that slipped my mind? Anyway, i've also raised quail, ducks, geese, wild turkeys, and show quality Blacktailed white Japanese over the past 40 years.

I thought about going out this afternoon because of the bright moon. However, there are a lot of drunks on the road. I followed one to work at 0530 yesterday. The sirens have been going off all day, so you know it is bad out there. I plan on trying to get up and out to the lease tomorrow before they can do much damage on the roads. And sit and wait for the sun to come out. See what I see for an all day hunt.
