Weirdly enough I prefer the summers. I hate cold, and living up here has been hard these past winters. I miss mild winters and hot summers.

Thank you. We applied for a puppy with Blue BonnetLook up Texas Pyreneese Rescue also. Great people and usually quite a few puppies available. Blue Bonnet usually have older dogs but they are completely dedicated in helping you train them on your property.
Mild winters? I say NO winters here, lol and I would LOVE some coldWeirdly enough I prefer the summers. I hate cold, and living up here has been hard these past winters. I miss mild winters and hot summers.
I say mild compared to here. You think you enjoy the cold until it's -5 celsius out, you need to be up before dawn to feed the chickens and animals, and then you have to help shovel snow and lay out sand.Thank you. We applied for a puppy with Blue Bonnet![]()

Sounds like our summers up here. Belgium usually doesn't get over 70 fahrenheit here, one year we had a heat wave where the temps shot up to 100 and people were literally dying in the streets. That's definitely not a pretty picture. I would just like to have at least 40 to 50 degree weather for a month at least. We haven't even gotten that.

People here look at me funny on hot days where I just wander around in a cotton sundress and hat. And ask for water instead of soda or beer.
I grew up in heat, so I'm the one that my in-laws ask for dressing advice when it's hot out. I also often wear hats or wrap my hair with scarves, so they're surprised that I don't get hot with my wrapped hair and long (but breezy) skirts.WOW, that's just unreal. The difference is amazing.
That's too funny.
I bet that made for an exciting day! I love hearing these kind of stories (when they're not mine to tell haha)A rooster too smart for his own good. That rooster is Lucky. Lucky is king of the table egg coop, and he and his ladies get the most free range time. When he is out, he likes to roam from pen to pen to let all the roosters know that he is in fact King of the Mountain. They don't appreciate it too much. Well, my son comes exploding in the house yesterday evening yelling for help. Apparently, there was one heck of a cock fight going on outside. Apparently, Lucky went to tell the blue Ameraucana rooster what-for at Ken's coop. Hello, wherever you are at, Ken, we miss you. So, anyway, Lucky nudges the latch that holds the door open, and angry blue comes flying out (otherwise known as Elvis the Rooster-"Blue Suede Shoes") and it is on. Hackles up, hopping, spurring. So, I take the net, and sack up a very confused Lucky the rooster and place him back in the table egg coop. Meanwhile we have to chase around a still very ticked off blue Ameraucana roo to send him home. Lucky barges out, looking for round two. In the end both roosters are fine. But, a lot of drama caused by a rooster too smart for his own good who learned how to work a latch with his head.![]()
