Texas

I know. It will definitely be a mind altering experience. I might be like this guy except that I have hair and do not in any way resemble him:

Just joined the forums last night (after lurking for years). We moved to Brady from the Marble Falls area last June and inherited a chicken when we bought our house. Best I can tell, she's and Australorp and might be one of the sweetest chickens I've ever been around. The family has been wanting some more chickens so stopped by the TSC in town on my way home and picked up 4 Golden sex-links, 2 Buff Orpingtons, and 2 Bantam chicks. I guess I'm a full-fledged chicken rancher now...

I'm glad to be here and hope to learn lots about how to better take care of my birds.

Welcome out of the shadows. You certainly are in the right place. We are all happy to help in whatever way we can so don't hesitate to ask questions. Also, feel free to post pictures of your new flock. We are poultry junkies afterall.

Now, lets see. Tractor Supply requires you buy a minimum of six chicks. You bought 8...that might just be an indicator of the beginnings of chicken math.

Good morning Texas. We have gotten over 8" of rain since it started late Sunday evening and Monday morning.

Mom made the metal art stand. Someday I am going to put the name in it.

Yes, the deluge continues here. Despite all that, I heard a head raising Cain about laying an egg. Usually, weather like this slows them down. Also, that is a really nicely done metal sculpture. That is some wonderful use of the medium and great artistic talent.
