Texas

Well, I got the driveway started on my property, not much else haha! The guy delivering the gravel got stuck in the mud, so it was going to be way too wet for him to do the house area, so we just did our culvert very well. We now have the start to our 20' wide drive haha. It is going to make it easy to let people in and out if we have a lot of company.

The sun is shining and I have blue skies!! I tried to mow yesterday but the ground is just soaked and then some. Maybe by Thursday or Friday I can do it IF we don't get anymore rain.

Hi folks! We just moved to Hewitt Texas from Missouri and we have 10 pullets and one rooster. We just started having chiggers problem a month ago and hating every single moment in our backyard. Any help/ideas to solve the chigger problem? Thank you all.

Welcome to the Texas forum! I have heard diatomaceous earth will get rid of chiggers. Knock on wood, I haven't had that problem. Maybe someone else will chime in.

My grandmother used to say that there were never chiggers in Saint Augustine (sp?) grass. So sorry, they are miserable!!!

Good luck!

Yes we just used DE all over our yard and hoping that it will work. The problem is you cannot know if it is any better as the bites hurt for 10 days plus. We always keep our yard short but we have some monkey grass or Texas grass at the back of the yard that might be the culprit.

Can you guys tell me....does this look like a rooster? From the time we got the chicks, it's comb has been bright pink. All supposed to be hens.
They are 5 -6 weeks.
Thanks!!
