Texas

I had to bury my 16 year old baby girl today.....my 3 pound apple head chihuahua.
We buried her under a tree close to the chicken coop.....Since we are going to be sitting outside watching our chickens soon, so she could be close.

My heart goes out to you. It is never easy but take comfort in knowing she had a long wonderful life

We are having typical seasonal weather for a change here...70's in the a.m. and 90's in the afternoons. This is very welcome after the storms earlier in the month. Just hoping we don't drift back into drought and fires.

Came out of lurking for this post. Going home to San Antonio in two weeks and hIping the weater is sunny. Too much rain and cloud coverage over here, makes me crazy.

Hippie, have a safe flight home. You know how the weather pattern is. Wait long enough and you will get what you want. How long are you in for?

Did anyone else hit 102 yesterday? We are due for some heavy rain today. sigh.....
Sister Dear,
In Austin, we still in the 90s. However, it will change soon by Fri. I will take my family to visit Vietnam, flying out of Houston at 1am Sat , arriving Ho Chi Minh city by 10pm Houston time. Then I will see how it feels at 105F without AC.

Until then, I will keep enjoying the 90s in an AC room, in front of my cable TV.

Sitting out on the porch listening to the thunder. Miss the chickens, but I don't think I should get more just now. Too hot and we are putting our house on the market.Hard to do, but it is too much for us to maintain and still have energy for the grandkids. Two babies due in Aug.
