No I can't have roosters where I live and only 4 hens at the moment. We are trying to get the limit raised but I doubt any roo's will ever be allowed. The city with some coaxing raised it from 2 to 4 hens a couple of years ago.

What part of DFW do you live in? I know people in Arlington with over 50 birds and in Irving over 100. Now if you are talking HOA then I can understand it. Y'all are lucky. Can't have more than two hens (no roos) without a livestock permit in SA. And most HOAs won't even allow one.
Yes, a move to the country brings peace and quiet and room to breath. But, a word of warning. It can also turn 5 hens into 72 assorted chickens, ducks and geese plus 7 dogs...and all the pleasure they bring.Move to the country! You can have all you want! Lol AND it's quiet! Lol
