Texas

I copied this from a fellow Texan's post on another thread.
Most of us are already "allowed" to raise chickens...
a lot of us are not.
Can everyone here (assuming we all agree with this bill and have a few quick minutes to goof off on the internet)
please send an email today or tomorrow.

Don't know who represents you? Go here: http://www.fyi.legis.state.tx.us/Home.aspx

I've never really been involved in the political process, but I just emailed all of my representatives. I'm sure many of you, myself included, are sick of feeling like having chickens is something that has to be kept under the rug for fear of being fined by the city. 6 chickens may not be many, but it's a step in the right direction!

New here from Celina, Tx

We started with a dozen chicks on St. Patty's day. Americana's, Delaware and Rhode Islands, 2 that have no feathers on their necks and another breed that escapes me right now... I'll need help when they mature to figure out what I have as the feed store didn't specify on the receipt.... :-(
We also ordered 2 female pekin ducks that we got a little less than two weeks ago. They grow FAST and are nearly as large as the month old chicks.... All are fairly peacefully living in my brooder crate - 7' x 3' x 4' shipping crate I got from work. It is on it's side and the top is now the door. We had the ducks in a clear tub with hardware cloth on top for about 1-1/2 weeks until they were big enough to introduce into the flock. That was Monday.
