Texas

I do not know who to ask for this but last Mondays floods that dropped 14 inches of rain in some areas in the Valley last week is causing pain and suffering in this part of Texas still this week. There are poor people who are not in my position who can't afford or just don't know about things like flood insurance if they are just renting. I do know that parts of Cameron, Hildago and Willacy counties have been declared disaster areas by the Governor and are still looking for help from FEMA. At present and where I live I do not see any evidence of any flood damage.

One week after this disasterous rain event this area is still under a flood warning and we have really only seen minor showers since then valley wide:

Please help our fellow Texans if you know of better resources than I do to assist.

I took a bus ride down to Progresso this weekend and was shocked by some of the flooding. You are not exaggerating.

Thinking Im 3.5 hours from there. Anything more is what I call an all day trip and hopefully I won't taste any chicago in my Whataburger.

Texas things deserve proper punctiation, I love Aggie colors and have only one UT workshirt in my closet. Just in case I can't get any more anoying there is this I was actually born within Dallas city limits and am the only true Texan in my family my sisters and birth parents are all foreigners.

Glad I live where my neighbors can't complain. Down with all HOA's!

Saw that. Ridiculous. Move to the country for peace and quiet and complain about the roosters? Really?

Next thing ya know they will be suing to stop the fornicating cows. I mean, really!?!, in the middle of the field? Get a barn. :lau

Reminds me of the people who bought a cheap house out by the airport and want the airplanes to stop flying over their cheap house. There is a reason you got a good deal. No one else wanted to hear the airplanes.

Good Morning Alan and all! It is going to be a beautiful weekend! :D

They say "A Picture is worth 1000 words" So for those of you who know me get ready I got 3!

It is noon so I am knocking off work for the day on the Silkie coop/enclosure, here is where I stopped. I haven't figured out if I am going to run leaner bars across the top of the fencing but my paracorded gate for the day represents what the optics for that will look like. Feel free to click on the photos in hopes you can read my notes:

Is there anyone in the Dallas/North East Texas/Greenville area interested in ten fertile Large Fowl English Silver-laced Orpington hatching eggs?

I saved them for someone to pick up later today and they've backed out. Technically it is eleven eggs, but one is older than I'd sell for hatching but was included for free. Price is $50 and they would need to be picked up as I don't have shipping stuff at the moment to get them mailed.
