Texas

keep in mind, Cameron Parish is a marsh. Lot's of holding capacity for saltwater. The fishing is usually bad until the water settles down. The fish spread out with all the floating detritus and it takes them a while to get their bearings.

I lost the link to the buoys in the Lake Charles ship channel. What was the highest surge through Lake Charles? Maybe at the salt water barrier?
I didn't see that other than lots of flooded and broken private property piers/boathouses on the lake. Notable for Lake Charles though is a chemical plant is on fire there now and shelter in place orders are issued by their mayor.

Apparently they make pool chlorine tabs at that place, KHOU has more specifics.

After looking at the videos of the area, I find it amusing that they say turn off your AC. If you don't have electricity, why is your AC running? I'd be more concerned about the generators and gas clouds. But my guess is the roof blew off the warehouse and the chlorine tablets started an exotherm and set the packaging on fire which set the tablets on fire...

Sometimes more water isn't the right answer on a fire unless you have a bunch of it.

There use to be a great restaurant in Lake Chuck, called "Montanna's". Opened on Wednesdays through the weekend. Had a great buffet,(all ya could eat) for $10 including BBQ Beef ribs, Pork, Shrimp, Chicken, Fish and every side you could imagine! :drool
