I bet @RUNuts pants are on fire getting prepped for this. Such an unnerving feeling with 140mph winds possible and knowing the power is going out. He says he lives in East Houston but I believe he is more Beaumontish. That or just grilling up a storm with the freezer meat and getting ice made, running to the liquor store and other critical tasks. My wife likes packing the cards I prefer drinking through it if possible for entertainment. I was wondering though does Sabine lake fishing get better after getting overrun by storm surge? Or is it too high for that it is listed as a saltwater estuary.
East Houston or Baytown. Or call it 50 nm from the Sabine River and I-10. Looks like we will just miss the wind field and I'm very happy about this. Prayers for Lake Charles and surrounding areas.
