So I was watching over my wifes facebook snake page and some lady peed on a western cottonmouth snake. I cannot believe she didn't get bitten. And then she found the time to take photos. Of the snake not the act perverts! Not putting my touchy near one.

Couldn't sleep. Outside, drinking coffee, coyotes are out. At LEAST 4 different packs, close, big packs from the howls and yips. North, West, northeast, and South, I'm surrounded.

My coyotes are quiet tonight. There must be something bigger out in the woods. I hate to have that thought but this is Texas. Who knows a Jaguar might have crossed the border, doubtful but not impossible, but a cougar is more likely.

You guys have much more then us.... We've only 2 packs. One to the W-NW & the other E-NE. Coyotes/wild dogs mixed packs are what we have.

They have been a lot quieter over the last year it seems too.

Feral hogs were out too. Lots ah snukling, squealing and noise making. Been reports of a panther, first time in 20+ years on other side of county. You never know what's out there.

Wind zone update.... It keeps building.... The path has also shifted the center line a tad bit closer to Lake Charles now too.
Galveston island percentages:
34+KTS AKA ~40MPH winds = 70-80% chance.
50+KTS AKA ~60+MPH = 30+% chance.
64+KTS AKA ~70+MPH = 10% chance now.
LA folks "hang on to your hats"...again. they are expecting it to become a "major storm" again later today too.

Update at 10:10AM via NPR show, The Texas Standard show, Louisiana has offically activated a State of Emergency to prepare for Hurricane Delta.

Factoid 1: this will be the sixth named storm to land in Louisiana in one season.

Factoid 2: 10th named storm to make landfall on US soil in one season in all recorded history.

Trivial note: the season still has more than 6 weeks left....

Yep it is looking like @RUNuts needs to get his guest room set up and put on pants. I don't usually wear those around the house so not being judgey. I really hope HOU doesn't get too much wind from this event. DW cooks me by keeping the AC on 84. Just took screenshots and Galveston now is as follows:
34KTs AKA ~40MPH = ~80+%
I couldn't fit the full span in one picture to give close enough for the east side of the storm on LA....
