Burning those dustbunnies now my indoor temps just hit 75F. Sure I could have been lazy and let my hair down and used the Sasquatch defense against the cold plus put on a t-shirt. This lack of humidity has me beat though. Wow we are in for some cold:

Chilly and damp here. Got heat on.
Chicken noodle soup today.
My new girls are doing good. I am still limiting feed, morning and night.
I finally got brave and let them out of run to free range a couple hours-all went well.
2 got stuck in calf chute and couldn't figure their way out, i herded them back to cow pen and they went on their way...

Chilly morning here, 39°F and raining. Hope the quail chicks have made it through this night! I'll find out in a couple of hours. :fl

I had to laugh at your post @AllenK RGV :lau but it's true...it gets to the 50's here and where you are....that's freezing! :gig
I miss feeding and watering my birds in nothing but tennis shoes and shorts. :D
It's a 'goose down' kinda day!

Good news that it isn't freezing here. Currently in the 60°'s and dropping to the 40°'s tonight.

I've got several bunches of bananas hanging and no where near ready to bring inside. Good production year for bananas. The first bunch was delicious. Depresses me having to eat store bought. I'll agree and want a mosquito killing freeze, but also want homegrown bananas.

More good news is the hurricane won't knock more bananas over. Best wishes for those that do see the high winds.

Cheers!

You're right, soup sounds good today! I think I will throw some Crack Chicken Chili in the crockpot. If you've never had it, look for the recipe or I can post it, it is soooooo darned good. I made mine stay in the run yesterday and they were not happy. But most the time they were playing the line dance game, back & forth, from coop to run. So we put some barn tin up along the bottom of the run, on the north and east side. Fixed that craziness, and they were loving it. Lmao 🤣😂

I would have to agree, having to bundle up to make sure I dont get drenched with ice cold rain and wet shoes, is NOT my cup of tea. The tank top, shorts & flip flop days are gone. *sigh* I quite literally woke up to the sound of a downpour outside, grabbed my pillow over my head and reset the alarm for an hour later. 🤣😂
