North/Central Texas Chickine freinds. I am looking for Columbine Wynadottes. I lost my favorite girl to the heat a few weeks ago, she was also my 17 yo's favorite show girl. We can find all types of wynadotte, just got him a couple of Blue Lace ones. BUT he reaaaally like the Columbines. Now that we have land, we will have a good place to keep a Roo, too. THANKS

so last night at my house it was boys against girls for a game of Sequence. After the boys beat us 5-0, my son sits up in his chair and yells "Yeah, that's why we're the roosters and y'all are the hens!" REALLY???? his dad tried to tell him that was considered rude, but he was laughing too hard to really get the point across.

Is anyone going to the La Grange Poultry Show on the 1st of September or The Abilene show on the 8th of September. I am considering going to one or both of these shows and am hoping to find people interested in Cream Legbars there.

As for the Best Breed question, I would have to say if you are looking for friendly birds that you should look into Basque Hens (Euskal Oiloa).

What is your primary goal in chickens? Pets? Show birds? Laying hens? Meat birds? Other?

How much space do you have?

How close are your neighbors?
