Texas

Does anyone have thoughts on chiggers? Have they gone extinct? I haven't gotten infested by those things in about 40 years now. I still go out in the tall grass. But this far south they just might not be a thing.

I also have a 2 inch wide and who knows how deep it runs crack in my lawn and also new terrain features like hillthings on my otherwise bulldozed flat land. It is better than mowing this week. Our ground is so wierd when it is saturated it feels like you are sinking in to it. I am still not used to ground that will not support your weight. All of that Rio Grande sediment is just pure clay.

On a happier note we ordered new USPS Jeeps. Finally we got the shipping notice. So soon I can make vroom vroom noises and not look idiotic. This was what my childhood mail truck looked like: https://store.usps.com/store/product/stamp-gifts/1971-usps-jeep-blue-P_843171

Being part Cherokee, I will try a rain dance for all of us, I will have to Google it though. LoL 🤣😂 It is so dry here the ground is hard and starting to crack in the yard, the pastures, everywhere. I will take any rain we can get.
Being Comanche, we don't have a 'rain dance' but if you want buffalo, I'd be happy to oblige and perform the dance! :gig

I think they used silver nitrate to seed clouds back in the 70's @007Sean is probably a hippie enough scientist to know more , but it isn't just you the whole state is pretty dry. To be honest it looks like you have it pretty good. Still compared to rampant floods I'll take Texas dry. There is much less lawn mowing that way. https://droughtmonitor.unl.edu/CurrentMap/StateDroughtMonitor.aspx?TX

Yep, 'back in the day', they used silver nitrate....who knows what's in the chem trails nowdays! in the days of yesteryear, they used dynamite  apparently, the particulate from the explosions would lend itself to allowing moisture to form and create a shower in the immediate area....glad we have learned better or Texas might be a big hole in the ground! :lau
