I’m semi-excited…. I’m getting the gear ready for an extraction gig on Saturday. Scored a used shed (portable style on 4x4 skids). It’s a 10x12 “barn style” shed.

Truck, trailer & cub cadet are about 2/3’s through their pre-trip check lists.

Got ahold of TXDOT after I stopped down to inspect the shed. Have the “wide load” permit filed and approved for this weekend.

I asked a friend if they wanted a practice/training run in the realm of “hot shot’ing.” At least one of them is up for it. I enjoy teaching. It’s actually fun getting to pass along wisdom that’s been shared with me along the roads of life.

Hello...
To make it simple... I need to find a safe place for my ducks to be kept while I continue to try to find us a new home.
I was evicted on Monday, and atm staying at a hotel. I have a new coop I'm building for them that will be completed hopefully by tomorrow. I live in Tomball, TX and would prefer them to be close by so I can see/visit them daily. After my two weeks at the hotel are up, I will hopefully have found us a new place or I'll be homeless. I have 6 muscovy ducks - 4 ducks and 2 drakes. All except the oldest male are used to being held and cuddled... 2 of the females are imprinted on me and the others just bonded and know that they're safe with me. Everyone around me keeps telling me to just let them go.... but anyone that remembers me from when I first found speedy... knows that won't happen. She's my baby and it's tearing me apart thinking about what might happen to her... but I don't know what else to do... if I do find them a place the person taking them in needs to understand it will only be temporary.
Anyhow... is there anyone close to me or knows someone..?

I'm not in TX but I'm sorry to hear of your difficulties. Is there a shelter or rescue anywhere near you that might take your duck babies in temporarily? I found 3 in your area by googling. Good luck!

Here are the Gold Frisian Gulls and Queen Sylvia. The FG and QS look a lot alike. The QS are smaller and the pattern is not as pretty.

i got a silver hen accidently. She was suppost to be a deathlayer

Ok we are on the hunt for chick's and ducklings! Either local farm store or private farm.

We are in Van Alstyne, so preferably within a short drive.

Mine too! I live between Cooks Point and the Brazos River. Gotta pass tsc to get to town.
