I have read at least a couple times about very warm epson salt bath for her feet & legs.I have an injured hen. Limping, not putting weight on left foot.
I looked her over thoroughly, no bumblefoot, no visible injuries. I didn't feel anything broken-ran ha d up leg-limited range of motion, seems to hurt if I try to extend leg. Pulled muscles or tendon maybe?
She crated inside now, ate some can catfood and drank a bit.
Oh AND she's molting.
Any advice to help is appreciated.
If it's not broke, then probably twisted, pulled muscle or tendons. Not much you can do about it, like @electrycmonk said, try Epsom salt soaks.I have an injured hen. Limping, not putting weight on left foot.

I don't have any idea about that....never tried to bathe one when it was molting anyway! All you need to do is put the foot/leg in the Epsom salt bath....not the whole bird!I've always heard not to bathe chickens when they're molting. Any truth to that?
