Texas

In my county you can't get a vehicle registered (tags) without inspection. They don't issue a sticker, I get a paper showing its inspected, I take to courthouse to get my tags.
Regardless of how the inspection sticker is issued, I just don't get them for my cars. I had one second hand car that I drove for 6 months, maybe more and didn't have it registered or have a license plate on the car either. I did get the car registered and a license plate because I was going out of state to stay with a very sick, dear friend. :lau
OH, I do keep insurance.

I will! Now we have one of our friends daughters coming with us. She loves the chickens so should be a very good time for all.
That's great. You'll have a passenger and the trip will pass faster. How far is it from you?
P.s don't forget your crates/kennels to haul the birds back.

Just don't get an inspection sticker. I owned my Z-3 for about 15 years and never put an inspection sticker on the wind shield. I don't know why, but I just don't like inspection stickers. I have rarely had an inspection sticker on my windshield, and then it was usually expired.
Texas has the law situated to block renewal of registration without passing inspections.
