I've been within an arm's distance of some of these guys.. one big ol doe is the bravest of the bunch.. she will stay just about 3 inches out of reach... look at me.. snort .. stomp a foot and walk about a foot away and dare me to follow her
When we had the drought they would come running when they heard me turn on the hose.. and wait for me to fill water pans for them.
they have me so well trained.......
**laughs** Mike has agreed to let me build a running pond to help ensure the deer get water this summer. Not exactly doing much to help myself keep the deer out of my garden, am I?
Can I send our neighborhood deer herdS to y'alls places?

I'm going to cover it with welded wire and then put a tarp on top as well to keep it dry. No nesting boxes needed, it's just a grow out pen. I'm going to put a waterer like this on it so I can just hook up a hose and they have water. I sell these waterers by the way, or I'll tell you how to make one yourself if you want.I plan to cover mine with poultry netting (chicken wire) and shade cloth.. so HOPEFULLY it protects not only from deer and cattle.. but that darn scalding sun too
and when it's not being a greenhouse plant protector it can do duty as a chick pen
As long as you don't name them your still doin good! Snort, Bubba, and sister are way to spoiled they stand at the door and wait to get fed at my dads house. Sometimes 3 or 4 times a day when the grand kids are over.oh i dunno.. salad.. dinner.. drinks... all they need now is a salt lick and a place to bed down.......![]()
