We only had a couple of la manchas at the dairy.. but I do remember them as being very laid back and sweet natured

Quote: Yup - Hubby's had several goats in the past and he's always hand milked. I mentioned using a machine and he just snorted at me.

we had a couple "miniature" goats at the dairy.. none of the milking machines would stay on them.. they just didn't have enough to hold onto.. so we had to milk them by hand.. talk about getting hand cramps fast!..

My mother had two pygmy goats in her backyard. We lived in Waco at the time. No one complained and we never got in trouble. They were named Dinky and Baby.

And as far as walking we used to take them on walks on leashes all the time. The kids at the park used to live it when e brought the goats.

SHHHHHHHH! Don't say things like that. Sarge has enough on his plate with the human kids and all them chickens.
