cayuga?... I love the first year layers.. the eggs start off black.. then lighten as they lay more.. problem is the coating on them is VERY easy to scratch off... but some of the grey eggs have rather unique patterns on the shells
Yeah, those are the ones. I love the speckled effect on the turkey eggs, too. I'd love to get a really clean speckle like that to reliably reproduce in some birds....Could you imagine? White shell with blue speckles?

My mother did try tanning my hide (on several occasions

) ... problem was she used to call me "brainless".. so I am assuming that's why the tanning never "stuck"..

You just made me crack up in the middle of training.

If they are roosters would you still want them? You can only order straight run, I am hoping I get lucky and get girls, but you never know. Also if anyone is interested in a blue laced red wyandotte roo, buff brahma roo, black langshan roo, or white langshan roo I will keep you posted. I already have my salmon faverolle roo and don't want any fighting. If the two roo's get allong then I might keep two, otherwise it will be freezer camp or selling xD

yeah i would! especailly if there is a roo! i kinda wanna work with these guys and BA's...gonna be amy prject birds! the langshans like the dorking are a long way off from their brethren over seas! and not to mention BA's from here and the ones in australia almost dont compare!

for 2 more chicks?!

Found out they accidently added another gro gel, so not as much, but the shipping did go up a bit. The langshan chicks are 4.34 a piece.
**blinks** I must be missing something. Why are you ordering so many chickens, again?
I am ordering 27 chicks, plus whatever extras they throw in, but the price for them all is like 140+ . Ordering the 27 gives me a buffer in case I lose any in shipping. You never know how the weather is goign to be in texas.

oh.. that sounds like some of my orders...

I force myself to cut them back to 60 or less per order
60 babies! Wow, I wish I had enough room for that many.

I love the babies, so small and fluffy <3 The adults are fun as well. So comical and full of personality, pluss they lay eggs!

Hahahahah the way I read it was that you were ordering 120 CHICKS, not $120 worth of chicks....

It's much more clear, now.
