That ad makes me wonder if those are their real parent birds. One of those SLW looks like a Bantam and the pictures look familiar like I have seen them already....

He's not mine we were at a small music Fest outside of Lockhart a couple of days ago and there were two mules pulling a fake jail wagon around and Bethany had to go pet them. It's one of the few pictures I have with me in them and I thought everybody might like to know what I look like.

I am proud to announce that I have just bought chickens!!! We will be proud owners of 6 chickens - 2 Buffs, 2New Hampshire Reds, 1 Barred Rocks, and 1 Rhode Island Red. I am SO excited!!!! I get to pick them up next Saturday!!!! I can't wait. It's going to be like a kid waiting for Christmas Day! I think I might drive my husband crazy talking about them. The kids and I are going to love naming them. Well, my two oldest will. Baby Jack will just squeal at them. It's going to be hard to sleep I'm so excited!

Congrats!!! Welcome to the madness. Soon, like the rest of us, they will consume your life (become a major course of entertainment bubbling over into other areas of your life) and chicken math will set in! Just ask the people where I work, it went from a hobby to almost an obsession. I went from the guy who just got a few chicks to "oh, shut up about your chickens." It settled into a happy medium once they got free eggs.
