I had the same issue with that little dwarf dorking chick.. kept putting it off because he was such a character.. then it got to where he HAD to be put down because he was beginning to suffer..
it's never easy especially when they have so much personality packed into such tiny little bodies

Yah they are the ones that sell the H&H...my LFSn not TSC.

I know it happens. But, I am still going to give him another day or two before I cull him. He is a real sweetie.
I got some BCM from H&H . I am very disappointed with them. The first batch of 18 were so bad that they replaced the whole bunch. I am growing out the replacement batch and they have so much purple in them I may have to cull all of them too. I'm sure they must have some nice birds, (Bev Davis referred me to them) I just haven't gotten them.
I hope I didn't step on any toes.

Yep, it always seems to be one of the favorites that don't make it.

I have never ordered birds from H&H. I just use their feed.

Sorry to hear you had a bad experience with the birds you purchased.

These are the new pictures of my flock! These were taken yesterday. The SLW is the newest member of the flock. Took three days for her to be accepted. Now she is running around with them exploring and doing fun chicken things!

LOL. I have never used their feed, I just order chicks. I think H&H sold the feed business to someone else that kept the name. A lot of people seem to like it.

Thanks. I did get a nice Blue Copper Marans hen out of the first bunch.

I love that roo. What is it?

Hi there! I thought i would check out the Texas thread. I'm outside of Greenville, in North East Texas. My husband and I have nine layers, sex links and white plymouths, one white plymouth rooster, some meaties, and four (hopefully three soon) Seramas. Which reminds me. Anyone want a beautiful serama rooster with a lovely, clear piercing (did I mention obnoxiously loud?) crow on him?

It's great to meet you guys, and I look forward to getting to know my chickeny neighbors.
