Here they are. I got them from tractor supply, but almost any com

pany carries them. I know Ideal, Cackle and Murray do. Or, if you can hit chick days, just grab them then.
I want to do meaties at some point but just looking at the eye of that little one of yours melts my heart. Gotta get past that.

Do they just stay confined and eat all the time? Is their temperament good for that?

we still have a freedom ranger roo from last year.. he's built like a turkey.. BIG boy..
I had kept back two of the roos.. they never tried to breed the girls though (well.. not that I saw).. and they moulted fine the first time round .. bu this spring they are STILL missing a load of feathers. Not sure what's up with that. One of them finally keeled over last week from what I assume was a brain aneurysm (necropsy turned up fine other than massive bleeding in brain cavity)

Blitz was marked a lot like Nomi.. almost solid black.. with just a hint of color in his eyebrows and jawline.. he was built like a tank too.. solid.. wide.. lol..would have made a perfect battering ram but still VERY agile, extremely smart and FAST. He came from working german and czech lines with his grandparents being imports. We got lucky when we found him.. then couldn't get in touch with his breeders after he had passed (died from poisoning.. horse nettles . then misdiagnosed by the vet)
Aw D: I am so sorry. He sounds like the color I want. On a side note, I just found one I want that is the complete opposite of what I was looking for:

She is so gorgeous! I am going to beg DH later. Man, I can only imagine the pretty puppies from her and weiss <3 Weiss has a whole black and red/black and tan bloodline. He just was a random whoopsie xD

I really want some of my own meat! how long until you can process cornish crosses? 6-8 weeks?

yup.. 6 to 8 weeks.. you MIGHT get by with waiting a bit longer if you restrict feed or feed fermented

Thought I would stay on track today but got sidetracked by the chicks.

that's the best kind of sidetracking!
