Texas

Help! I live out near Fossil Creek near Walnut Springs, Tx. I am trying my best to get internet for my home where I live. Does anyone have any suggestions? I have to drive into town to use the internet to check my byc stuff!

Also, I am looking for scrap wood and fencing to start working on building a bigger coop. Let me know if you have any you want to get rid of.

I live two miles outside of Timpson, but you'd think it was the dark side of the moon! And, I work from home so I really need good, fast internet. I used to have an ATT air card, but that was as slow as dial-up. We switched last spring to Hughes Net, and it was much better. Then, we just last week switched over to the Hughes Net Gen-4, and it is WAY fast, and even cheaper. I was paying about $150/month originally on Huges Net because I have to use so much data and was having to sign into work on a VPN, but the new Gen-4 pro plan only costs about $100/month and is lightning fast. I can even download stuff off of Netflix now without it stopping and buffering all the time. It's as fast as when I had internet service through Comcast or ATT when I lived in Houston. You can probably get a cheaper plan from them if you aren't going to be on it all day and night like I am!!

I am going to have to check into this!!!

This will be my first hatch of them. But you can see pics of the flock they are coming from on emvickery's member page. That's who they are coming from. They are very nice birds.
Oh really?! I would be very interested!! Do you have any detailed pictures of your flock and previous hatches?

Are you renting or did you buy equipment for the new Gen4 stuff? I got an email saying that there was a rebate but it wasn't good for equipment that was bought - only leased. Was wondering what equipment had to be leased or bought - the dish or the modem or what?

We have a commercial dish and the Pro plan since we use the internet for business and I was a little hesitant to change over to the Gen4 unless it was really going to be worth it.

Hello everyone! I'm from the Dallas area, over by Grapevine.

I tried hatching some eggs from a friend, but it looks like they may not make it. I absolutely love Wyandottes, anyone know some good places to find Gold or Silver laces chicks in the DFW area? I'd even be willing to make a day of it and drive to Austin or such for the little gals if I can find some!

I'm a little closer and I have some young SLW's that are at the POL. There's no cockerel with them yet so it will be a while before I have chicks. I posted pictures of some of them yesterday.
