I say Venus,Burleson or Alvarado! Great land out here. We can pretty much have anything out here except swine, but we're getting a pig anyways.

Thank you but that's about 90mins south of my husband's office. I think if we go north we might find what we need. I will come and visit though!

Last summer hubby kept getting after me for going out in my short nightshirt in the mornings for chores - said that people out on the road might be able to see too much when I bent over. Nobody had a wreck while I was out there so I figure they kept their eyes on the road.

I'm bad i live so far off the road if someone shows up without calling they will get the scare of their life. there is no telling what I might be wearing or up to.

My Motto is I have to be a girlyfied up when I go to work. So when I'm home I want to be the Tomboy that I am..

we have a yearling male squirrel that loves my husband.. when he sees him out in the yard he will come running over and climb his pants leg hoping for treats and belly rubs.
He's never bitten and has never shown any aggression even though he's now a mature boy.. lol.. he even comes running when my husband calls him. I think he's addicted to peanuts and pecans.

Squirrels are fun to have around. Don't have any that friendly out here but would not mind it

I wish we lived farther off the road. Makes me crazy that the neighbors across the road will stand outside sometimes and stare when they see us out in the pasture. I figure if they are going to stare, then they are liable to get an eyeful cuz sometimes there is just no telling what I'm gonna do or wear and I've got too much to do to worry about what they think.

I would swear we have the same neighbors. When I work in the yard, they come and stand at the corner of their property in a wooded area and watch me. When my brother and I were building the pipe entry for my driveway he commented about them because they were hiding and watching us, so I explained that they watch me all the time and so he stood up and yelled "HOWDY! Come on over and help us with the fence." They took off and are better about not watching all the time. It would really creep me out but it is an older couple and they seem harmless, just odd.
